About us
Rising Sun Karate opened in 2008. We have grown and become a very successful competitive club winning many National, European and World Championship medals and trophies. It is not compulsory to compete as many students don't want to and there's no pressure to do so. Some students train just for fun, fitness, self-defense or to achieve their black belt. Whatever your goal we can cater for your needs and ability.
The classes in Ashton are split into children's and adult/family classes. The children's classes are aimed at infant / junior school age and the Adult / Family classes are for Secondary school and above. Younger children can train in this class if a family member is also training in the class. So you can choose to train with your children.
The Haydock classes are open age group. We also run a competition class on Saturday morning. This class looks at just Kata and Kumite and is open to anyone that wants to improve on these aspects of their karate and is not just for the competition squad members.
